LPBW fans anxiously await Little People Big World Season 23 to premiere. The TLC fan-favorite returns to its Tuesday night lineup next week. The promo videos released so far show there’s lots of Roloff family drama in store this season. One of the biggest plotlines we’ll see is the rift between Zach Roloff and his wife Tori Roloff with his father Matt Roloff and his long-time girlfriend Caryn Chandler.
Shortly before the filming of Season 23 of Little People Big World began, Zach and Tori put in an offer to purchase the North Side of Roloff Farms. Needless to say, the negotiations were heated and Matt rejected Zach’s offer. The result was a rift that rocked, and likely continues to rock, the Roloff family to its foundation.
Tori and Zach rather abruptly moved after their offer was rejected. From the latest promo video, it appears Cayn Chandler played a much more significant role in the negotiations. Continue reading to see if she is the real reason Zach moved his wife and kids so far away from his father and Roloff Farms.
Little People Big World Spoilers: Matt & Zach Blame Each Other For Failed Negotiations
Little People Big World spoilers reveal Matt and Zach have vastly different versions of how the deal fell apart and who is to blame. Matt claims Zach didn’t come to negotiate but to demand. In return, Zach alleges his father isn’t looking to make a deal to keep the farm in the family. Rather he’s looking to make a huge profit at the expense of his son. Did Caryn’s opinion on the sale price cloud Matt’s judgment? That’s very likely the case.
Many LPBW fans see Caryn as a homewrecker and a gold digger. Zach claims his father’s greed overtook his desire for the farm to stay in the family as his legacy. Obviously, Caryn has Matt’s ear and tainted his judgment to follow his heart. The situation between these four Roloff adults is uncomfortable, to say the least. Seems this rift was what caused Zach and Tori to pick up stakes and relocate.
LPBW: Zach & Tori’s Move Is Caryn’s Fault?
Little People Big World spoilers tease the feud between Matt and Zach prompted Zach to sell their Oregon house and move his wife Tori, and their two kids Jackson Roloff and Lilah Roloff an hour away to Battle Ground, Washington. It seemed rather an abrupt move. However after the deal fell apart, so did the relationship between Tori, Zach, Matt, and Caryn.
In the most recent promo video, Zach and Tori take their kids, Jackson Roloff and Lilah Roloff, to the farm to tell Matt and Caryn they’re moving. It’s obvious from the clip how much tension is between them all. It’s also obvious that Jackson must’ve overheard his parents say things about Caryn. Why else would Jackson ignore her and run away when Caryn tried to give him a flower and a hug?
In the video we also see Zach use his son Jackson to break Matt’s heart by having Jackson tell him they were moving. The video is heartbreaking to watch. Matt adores Jackson. They have a special relationship. Jackson is his first grandchild, is fearless like him, and is also a little person. Truly Jackson is Matt’s “mini-me”. Unfortunately, Zach used his children as pawns in his war with his father and Caryn.
Hopefully, the time since filming wrapped has healed the wound, and peace has been made.
UPDATE: Since this publishing, Matt Roloff announced he is putting a portion of the farm for sale to the public. Matt Posted this:
